Promoting Attendance:

The Governors, Headteacher and staff will use all possible opportunities to promote the importance of good attendance and punctuality. These will include the home/school agreement, newsletters, rewards and incentives for good or significantly improving attendance.

Rewards for good attendance

Children who attend school every day on time in any given week will earn 5 tokens for our "Holy Trinkety" Shop. Please note there is only the option to earn all five tokens for five days of attendance. There is no option to earn 4 or any fewer tokens. This incentive is to promote regular attendance and punctuality.  This incentive system resets weekly, allowing students who may face occasional illnesses to continually benefit from the rewards in subsequent weeks. This ensures a fair and inclusive approach, recognising the challenges that may arise and providing ongoing opportunities for all students to participate.

Term Time holiday/ leave of absence

Amendments have been made to the 2006 regulations in the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendments) Regulations 2013. These amendments come into force on 1st September, 2013. These changes removed references to family holiday and extended leave as well as the statutory threshold of ten school days. The amendments make clear that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
