Reading
Reading plays a significant part in a child's life as it offers them a means of exploration and inspiration. For this reason, it is important that your child reads every day at home for at least 20 minutes. This will ensure that your child is able to experience the magical world that literature has to offer. We require parents to sign a child's planner each day to show that this is happening. Children will be rewarded with the 'star chart' system to celebrate their successes as they continue to grow throughout their time at school.
Children are encouraged to further their literary knowledge on Reading Plus where there is a wealth of books for children to choose from. Please find the link for this website attached below:
Maths
Times table practice is essential for every Year 4 student. Children should practice their times tables regularly and can use websites such as TTRockstars to help them improve. Please find the link for this website attached below:
